David J. Albritton, PCC, is the founder & CEO of the executive coaching and consulting firm, Nineteen88 Strategies, which is based in the Washington, DC Metro area.
He is an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-accredited executive coach, as well as a recognized business leader, public company board director, public speaker and public relations/communications expert with more than three decades of leadership experience across the corporate, nonprofit and military sectors. He holds the distinction as one of very few former corporate Chief Communications Officers to transition into an operational role as the chief executive of a business division of a Fortune 25 company in addition to being elected to a public company board of directors. David is a Service-Disabled Veteran that served 10 years as a officer in the U.S. Navy, leaving the service at the rank of Lieutenant Commander (O-4). He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and holds a M.S. in Management from the Naval Postgraduate School. He has also completed senior executive leadership programs at Harvard University and Stanford University, in addition to executive education courses at the Wharton School of Business. He received his Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Georgetown University and is credentialed by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC).
David currently serves as the president of the U.S. Navy Public Affairs Association (USNPAA), as well as the chair of the National Advisory Board for the Elon University School of Communications.
Originally from Philadelphia, he resides in the Washington, DC metro area and is married with three adult children and three grandchildren. He enjoys RV camping with his family, bass fishing, off-road Jeep/ATV adventures, mentoring young professionals, and meeting new people over many years during his travels to more than 50 countries.
